APPLICATION & FABRIC REQUIREMENTS
Decide how the sweatshirt should layer, drape and feel inside before choosing a loopback or brushed-back fabric reference.
A fleece or loopback fabric brief needs more than a single yarn name. Identify the face, tie and loop-yarn arrangement represented by the sample, and keep the supplied yarn details with that construction record. The connected sweatshirt configuration must be checked against this actual arrangement, not inferred from the end-use photograph.
Mark the fabric face and loop side before any raising or other finishing trial. Keep a retained unprocessed piece so that a change in thickness, surface or dimensions can be traced. Agree whether approval concerns loopback, a brushed back or another specified final state before comparing results.

| Knitted starting point | Record yarn lots by role, loop appearance and any face-side disturbance. Note the orientation and position of each retained swatch. |
| Finished weight and width | State sample preparation, relaxation and finishing history beside GSM and usable-width results. Retain the corresponding cutting rather than reporting numbers alone. |
| Face and back inspection | Compare the face for visible disturbance and the reverse for the agreed loop or raised appearance. Record loose fibres, uneven areas and dimensional observations separately. |
Change one identified trial condition at a time and label the resulting pieces. A heavier or softer cutting is not automatically an approved one. Release the paired sample and record only after the agreed face, reverse and dimensional checks have been reviewed together.
