Three-thread fleece separates face, binding and pile-side functions. Weight variation can enter through any yarn role, loop formation, withdrawal, raising, shearing or conditioning, so the trial must preserve each layer.

Define the commercial fabric with ground, tie and fleece yarn materials, counts and lots, face requirement, greige and finished GSM method, width, pile or brushed surface, dimensional limits and exact finishing route. State whether GSM is measured greige, relaxed, dyed, raised or otherwise finished. Values from different states must not be combined.

Record the exact offered machine, diameter, gauge, feeders, fleece knitting arrangement, yarn delivery, take-down and installed options using controlled manufacturer documents. Do not infer universal stitch, cam, sinker, speed or yarn-ratio settings. Use a marked buyer-yarn roll and alter one supported variable at a time. Parameter 02 - connect knitted relationships to face cover and tie security

Document the approved machine configuration and loop architecture for the target fleece, including the roles of knitting elements and tracks without publishing unsupported adjustment values. Inspect face cover, tie points, fleece floats or loops, missing stitches and vertical or circumferential variation.

Mark every documented setting change and allow the machine and fabric to reach a stable interval. A heavier greige sample is not automatically better if tie security, face appearance or process stability deteriorates. Keep the accepted sample beside the configuration record.

Parameter 03 - observe take-down, width and roll condition with the GSM result

Record take-down and winding references, width or circumference, roll interval and any stop-restart event. Withdrawal can influence loop demand and measured dimensions, so compare GSM only on identified fabric conditioned by one method. Note folds, pressure and edge or circumference variation.

Sample several positions rather than one convenient square. Report specimen locations and measurement spread according to the agreed method. If stitch basis or take-down changes, create a new trial line rather than overwriting the earlier accepted state.

Parameter 04 - verify raising, shearing and thermal history before final GSM release

Carry marked greige pieces through the exact scouring, dyeing, drying, raising, shearing or heat-setting route. Record batch, orientation, pass count or other controlled process identities supplied by the finisher. Surface development can remove fibre, compact fabric or change width, so finished GSM must be measured anew.

Inspect pile uniformity, ground exposure, contamination, strength or other contractual requirements with named methods. Compare finished yield as well as average GSM. Release the recipe only when the same yarn-role map and machine setup produce acceptable weight, width and surface after processing.
