Jacquard Trial Control: Repeat, Yarn Map & Reverse Side

Specify where the motif is seen and where the reverse touches the wearer before choosing a patterned-knit sample.

Jacquard Trial Control: Repeat, Yarn Map & Reverse Side

Keep the pattern file and fabric together

Give every jacquard trial an artwork version, repeat reference and yarn-allocation record. Mark the fabric orientation and retain both face and reverse photographs. A pattern name alone is not enough to compare a later run, especially when the yarn arrangement, program or finishing state has changed between samples.

Patterned Double-knit FabricPatterned-knit reference

Keep the two equipment routes distinct

For a double-knit trial, document the required two-sided construction and the visible pattern result. For a computerized terry-jacquard trial, separately record the ground/pile arrangement and the intended loop surface. Do not transfer a double-jacquard archive result into the terry route simply because both belong to a patterned-knit scene.

Inspection recordWhat to retain
Repeat and colour positionsRetain the approved file identifier, marked motif boundaries and yarn map. Photograph any registration change, missing selection or unexpected colour position.
Reverse and surface conditionRecord the relevant reverse-side appearance, loose or extended yarn areas, and loop condition for the selected construction. Keep defect locations tied to sample orientation.
Finished sample comparisonAttach GSM, usable-width and agreed dimensional observations to the finishing description. Compare the same repeat area before and after the specified treatment.

Approve a reproducible reference package

Keep the file version, yarn record, labelled swatch and inspection notes as one approval package. Resolve an unexplained pattern difference before releasing a configuration discussion. Use the existing available equipment collection to review the correct route and request the trial record that is still missing.

Matching Machine Collection

Compare the configuration with your yarn, fabric structure and finishing route.
