APPLICATION & FABRIC REQUIREMENTS
Describe fit, movement, opacity and skin-contact zones rather than selecting a fabric route from a garment photograph alone.
Start a stretch-knit record by naming the actual jersey or rib construction represented by the sample. Mark wale and course directions and identify the face and reverse. If elastane or another additional yarn is used, record its identity and role rather than treating the finished garment photograph as a construction specification.
Agree a test method, sample preparation and comparison state before recording extension or recovery observations. A hand stretch is useful for discussion, but it is not a substitute for an agreed measurement. Keep knitting, relaxation and washing information attached to the exact cutting used for each result.

Connect any held result to an identified sample and an agreed next check. Select between the available jersey and rib routes from the construction and trial record, then carry the approved cutting into garment sampling. Ask which configuration the retained sample supports before discussing the next knitting trial.
